No, the extrafine merino wool we use has a smooth, gentle handle and is beautifully suited to children’s knitwear. At 19.5 microns, the fibre is much finer than traditional wool, making it soft against sensitive skin while still being resilient enough for everyday wear.

Yes. Our merino knitwear is designed for real family life and can be washed at home on a gentle wool cycle at 30°C.

Wash gently on a gentle wool cycle at 30°C with a wool-safe detergent. 

For best results, we recommend placing your sweater inside a laundry bag before washing. This helps reduce friction inside the machine, protecting the surface of the knit and helping your piece keep its softness and shape for longer. 

Wash inside out with similar colours, reshape while damp, and dry flat. Do not tumble dry.

No, merino wool is naturally temperature regulating. It keeps you cool when you're warm and warm when you're cool by releasing warmth only when necessary, preventing overheating. No other fibre in the world can regulate your temperature as naturally as merino can. 

Merino wool is also naturally moisture wicking and it can absorb up to a third of its own weight in moisture before it feels damp to the touch, helping children stay comfortable through active play, layered dressing and shifting weather.

Yes. The merino wool yarn we use is OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certified, which means it has been independently tested for harmful substances and meets a recognised textile safety standard.

We understand that anything worn close to a child’s skin should be chosen carefully. That is why we work with only 100% natural fibers and certified yarns.

Yes, always. We are committed to only using merino wool that comes from mulesing-free sources, supporting a  considered standard of animal welfare.

If you checked out using a phone number only, you will not be able to log in via the customer account link above. Instead, please use the return link included in your SMS order confirmation to submit your request.

The customer is responsible for the return shipping costs.

For faulty or incorrect items, we will cover the return shipping costs.

To make life easier for our customers, we arrange a prepaid DHL return shipping label for returns from the EU, UK, Switzerland and Norway. The applicable return shipping fee is determined by the country of return, and the return shipping fee will be deducted from your refund. 

Alternatively, you may arrange return shipping independently using a tracked delivery service. In this case, please contact us at info@tansykids.com for the address and return instructions.

We are unfortunately unable to offer a prepaid DHL return shipping label for returns outside the EU, UK, Switzerland and Norway.

We do not currently offer exchanges. If you would like a different size, colour or style, please return the unwanted item and place a new order separately.

Once your return has been received and inspected, we will process your refund to the original payment method.

Refunds are usually processed within 14 days after we receive the returned goods or proof that the goods have been sent back.
